![]() Jason Holt: Before / After When I started I made gains fairly quickly and probably gained about 15lbs within a few months. It still wasn't enough though. After doing some reading I realized that some of the pro bodybuilders would "bulk up" in order to gain mass. My mind was made up at that point. I went out and bought some high-calorie protein and started eating everything in site. ![]() Jason with Bob Chicerillo I managed to get down to 225lbs. I was still holding some fat but, thanks to having pretty good genetics I was relatively lean. I still wasn't satisfied though and I knew I needed to come up with another strategy. I started to read about ketogenic diets and I decided that was the way to go. Man was in for a surprise! I got down to a very depleted, wafer-thin 180lbs. I had lost tons of muscle and was very disappointed that I had put in so much hard work to be almost right back were I started. I decided to go back to eating a balanced diet to gain some of the muscle back. My body rebounded really quickly and I got back up to about 200lbs at about 11% body fat. I still had the itch to be into the sub 9% range so I looked for a new strategy. ![]() Jason Holt: Today I have been using the carb-cycling methods for the past three months and I have never been in better shape. I have managed to get really lean while carb-cycling and still staying very full. I have structured my diet almost exactly the way it is depicted here on this site. Carb-cycling is the perfect method to get lean and spare muscle. I can't thank you enough for the information on this site. Thanks so much Skip and God bless.
